2016 ASWA Remembrance Service for Animals

Animal War Memorial, Park Lane, London on Sunday 13th November 2016

At 3 o’clock on the afternoon of Sunday 13th November 2016 a large group gathered at the Animals in War Memorial in Park Lane, London for a service dedicated to the recognition of animals in war and conflict.

The service, organised by the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals was well attended by ASWA members along with those of sister organisation, Catholic Concern for Animals (CCA).  They were joined by a congregation including representatives of a number of secular organisations including Nowzad Dogs, HM Armed Forces, some had travelled from Northern Ireland to attend the event as well as others who were simply moved and joined in as passers by.  The representatives laid wreaths during the service.
